All week I was watching the weather forecast and cringing at the rain it was predicting on Rachel & Blake's big day. Even hours before the reception it was still calling for rain but when the time came, it couldn't have been more beautiful. The atmosphere, the emotion, the weather, the new beautiful family were all perfect. I'm so happy for Rachel and Blake and this new adventure they are beginning!
The decorations on this cake were incredible (I didn't try any, but it looked delicious, too!) The pretty scroll work is actually a language... Gallifreyan - from Doctor Who. Rachel's son, Hyrum looked up how to write everyone's names so all ten people in their family would be represented. Rachel is a huge Doctor Who fan so it was AWESOME. If anyone is in need of a spectacular cake, I'll give you Lisa's info:)

Raleigh LDS Temple Wedding Photographer | Balbina and Brian
When I met up with Balbina a few days before her wedding to shoot her bridal portraits we both expressed how nervous we were for her big day looking at the weekend's weather forecast. The night before the wedding I couldn't sleep and checked my phone ALL. THE. TIME. The hourly forecast promised downpours of rain alllllll day and night. Driving from Greensboro to Raleigh I kept hitting bursts of rain but when I got to the temple where they were married it was overcast but not raining. It sprinkled/misted some but most of the rain held off long enough for us to get some wonderful shots of Brian and Balbina on the the temple grounds. We lucked out for the pictures during the reception, too! Man let me tell ya, prayer (even for things like the weather) really works!!

Greensboro Wedding Photographer | Dana & Sean
My cousin, Sean got married earlier this year and just made it back to NC for a reception a few weeks ago. The weather was perfect, the location, food and atmosphere couldn't have been better, the light for pictures...was my nemesis:/ Luckily, these two (and my good husband and kids) were patient with me while we walked here and there trying to find a place that would be evenly lit enough to snap a few shots;)
It was wonderful meeting Dana, she and Sean fit so well together. Welcome to the family, Dana:)
what a goof:)

Greensboro Child Photographer | Ella
I met Ella's mom a couple weeks before when I photographed her adorable twin babies. I wasn't able to keep my image count down with them, and that trend continued with their beautiful, spunky, sassy, energetic, full of life big sister, Ella:)
Ella will be 8 soon and is being baptized so I was asked to take some pictures to memorialize this special time in her life. It was wonderful to see her interact with her family, in the short hour that I spent with her I could tell what a wonderful sister and friend she is to her siblings.
At the end of the session she said something to the effect of, "If I keep doing all these poses I'm going to forget how to stand for softball!" With that statement (and a laugh) pictures were a wrap.
Thank you, Ella, for being an all-star poser and cooperator! Oh my goodness, did I mention her hair. I'm sooo in love with it, sigh.

Greensboro Wedding Photographer | Kris & Tom Engagement Photos
It is such a compliment when people who don't know me, hire me purely on the word of others. Kris and Tom fall into that category:) We told each other what we were wearing on the phone minutes before we met, but looking at these pictures you would never guess we haven't known each other for years, or at least met up once before;) They were so natural in front of the camera and super fun and funny to hang out with. We might have had some laughs at Kris' (chicken move) expense;)
We totally lucked out on having beautiful weather, it's a good thing because this was our rain-date shoot!
Kris and Tom, it was truly my privilege to photograph you two. You make an awesome pair and I'm so happy to have met you!

We had such a limited window for taking this amazing couple's wedding photos. With so little time we had to squeeze them in the day before the wedding, so we met at sunrise to take some beautiful pictures of a beautiful couple. I hope you enjoy them!!

Lastly, (Hannah's dad stop reading now!) they are such picture perfect kissers, for anyone who is planning on taking any kissing pictures in the future, take notes from these guys;)
